2. ROAD TO SAN GIMIGNANO (60 km – Elevation gain: 1090m). Breakfast and a meeting with our staff, who will provide you with detailed maps and all the information you need to make the most of each stage of the tour.The tour begins with a gentle climb to Piazzale Michelangelo, one of the most panoramic and enchanting spots in Florence. From there, you’ll head to Montespertoli, a charming town set on a gentle hill in the Chianti region, surrounded by postcard-worthy countryside views. Then, on to Certaldo Alto, a stunning medieval village that was the birthplace of Boccaccio, the famous medieval writer and author of the Decameron. Next, the route climbs along the Via Francigena towards San Gimignano, the renowned medieval town with its beautiful towers. Dinner on your own and an overnight stay at a 3-star hotel in the center of San Gimignano.

3. MONTERIGGIONI AND CHIANTI REGION (56 km – Elevation gain: 970m). Abbadia Isola, an abbey on the outskirts of the Via Francigena.Monteriggioni, where you’ll discover one of the best-preserved medieval villages, with the town's defensive walls surrounding it. Then, a climb towards Chianti, surrounded by prestigious vineyards. Castellina in Chianti, an ancient medieval village immersed in the historic struggle between Siena and Florence. Dinner on your own and an overnight stay at a 4-star hotel located in Radda in Chianti.
4. THE CASTLE OF BROLIO AND SIENA (58 km – elevation gain: 870m). Radda in Chianti with its small streets and a wonderful view on the vineyards. Gaiole, town where L’Eroica was born in 1997. The Castle of Brolio, symbol of Chianti and good wines to taste. Villa a Sesta and San Gusmè, cute town in Chianti. Castelnuovo Berardenga and its landscape museum. Final arrival in Piazza del Campo, last unforgettable highlights of your bike tour. Dinner on your own and accommodation in 3-star hotel located very close the city center of Siena.
