- Individual arrival in Milano. Hotel accommodation and briefing: delivery of information package and bicycles. Overnight stay in Milano
- MILANO – ABBIATEGRASSO – PAVIA (56 km). The cycle route starts from Milano, in the last stretch of the Naviglio Grande, the oldest canal of the Milanese canal system. Along the way you can admire the navigation locks, remarkable works of hydraulic engineering. In Abbiategrasso do not miss the visit of Convento dell’Annunciata. A short detour from the route towards the city centre allows you to visit the Castle and the picturesque streets of the old town. The route continues south along the bike path of the Bereguardo Naviglio, where you can see the historical boat bridge. The Cistercian abbey of Morimondo may be the right place for a break before reaching the town of Pavia, where the final stretch of the Ticino river runs. Overnight stay in Pavia.
- PAVIA – MILANO (42 km). You still have time to see the historic centre of Pavia. The cycle path starts along the “Via Verde of the Battle“, a great example of a green belt built to perfection, which links the monumental Certosa of Pavia, a shrine and a monastery of uncommon beauty, to the city centre. Cycling along the Naviglio Pavese, you make your way back to Milano. Overnight stay in Milano.
- MILANO – TREZZO D'ADDA (40 km). Your bike tour starts from the northern part of Milano, from the beginning of the protected cycle path of the Martesana canal, which was built in 1496 to help connecting the city and Lake Como to Northern Europe. The route crosses a series of villages, where there are still ancient villas and towers, farmsteads, castles and signs that testify the presence and work of Leonardo Da Vinci. Just before arriving in Trezzo, your destination, on the opposite bank of the river Adda you will find the Crespi Workers’ Village. Overnight stay in Trezzo d’Adda.
- TREZZO D'ADDA – LECCO (36 km). In Trezzo, in addition to its beautiful old town, you can admire the ancient Visconti Castle, whose remains are the walls and the tower from which you can enjoy an unexpected view of the Adda river and the Bergamo Pre-Alps. The cycle path to Lecco goes down to the Adda river and skirts along the majestic Taccani hydroelectric power station, dating back to the beginning of the last century. The itinerary continues northwards, meeting the other historical hydroelectric plants (the first to supply electricity to the city of Milano), the rapids of the Adda river, the small dams, and arrives in Imbersago at Leonardo’s Ecomuseum, where you can admire one of the works of the genius: the ferry, which is still working. Along the way to Lecco, you will find several places where to have a pleasant break: in Brivio or near the two lakes. Overnight stay in Lecco.
- After breakfast you can take the train to Milano (Possibility to ask for an extra night in Lecco or Milano).
